MID-CENTURY MODERN FACADE
The Stanley House has four levels that start with a lower garage (one of two), which is large enough to hold 15 cars. Notes Kravitz, “I meant this house to be sold to somebody who has a family or to a baller who wants to party.”
Sweeping Views
“Either I want to be in Malibu by the beach, or I’m gonna be here looking at the city,” says Kravitz of the indoor-outdoor dining space.

DINING AREA
"The way the whole first floor connects with the kitchen, with the living room and the way it opens up — it’s really one space, it’s almost like a loft,” says Kravitz who had almost two million-dollars in retractable Vitrosca doors installed throughout the property.

A custom, brass 70's-inspired screen greets visitors.
RAISING THE BAR
A bar/entertainment room with a floor-to-ceiling flat-screen television. Says Kravitz, “What’s wonderful about it is it doesn’t feel cavernous.”
MASTER BEDROOM
“I call it soulful elegance — it’s elegant, sophisticated and at the same time very inviting, comfortable and warm,” says Kravitz, photographed Jan. 22 at The Stanley House in L.A., of the master suite, which features a version of the vintage leather bed frame found in John Lautner's iconic Sheats-Goldstein residence.

LUXE TOUCHES
Kravitz used a luxurious array of finishes: Colosseum travertine tiles for the floors, white marble countertops in the kitchen, dark oak paneling in the study and leathered travertine stone in the showers.
FRESH PERSPECTIVE
The serene atmosphere on one of the home's outdoor spaces is created by the minimal decor, soothing hues and natural materials used.

A stuffed peacock anchors a reading nook.

A bronzed decor item resembles wings.
CATCHING FIRE
Fire and water features populate the home and the space is accentuated with strong, masculine colors — gold, bronze, brown, and tangerine.
OPEN FLOOR PLAN
The entryway of the home opens into a sprawling entertainment area with a wide open floor plan that seamlessly bleeds into an outdoor deck with an infinity pool and a breathtaking 280-degree, jetliner view.
WINDING DOWN, POOL SIDE
Pops of orange are seen in the decor throughout the home including the out door areas.
CLOSET NIRVANA
Atop a floating staircase you’ll find several bedrooms including the master suite tucked in the eastern corner with its own set of floor-to-ceiling retractable windows and a sizeable walk-in closet.

Clothes and accessories created from different textures add ambiance and style in the spacial closet.
