DirecTV CEO Michael White's Compensation Falls 31 Percent to $12.5

DirecTV chairman and CEO Michael White earned $12.5 million in 2013, down from $18 million a year earlier. The 31 percent drop was due to the satellite TV company’s accounting for $12 million in stock options that vest over three years, but were included entirely in White’s 2012 tally, according to an SEC filing on Thursday.
White’s pay included $1.7 million in salary, $4.5 million in stock, $1.5 million in option awards and $4.3 million in “non-equity incentive plan compensation.”
Patrick Doyle, the CFO, earned $3.9 million in 2013, down from $4.9 million.
Bruce Churchill, executive vp and president of DirecTV Latin America and new enterprises, earned $6.4 million, down from $4.9 million.
General counsel Larry Hunter earned $5.5 million, down from $6.9 million.
Chief technology officer Romulo Pontual earned $3.5 million, no change from his compensation a year prior.
